Dong shan high school is located in the north-east of Taichung city overlooking the mountains of the Dakeng scenic area. It is one of the biggest schools in Taichung city with over 2000 junior high school students and 500 senior high school students. The current campus is relatively new as the school was relocated after the infamous 9/21 earthquake in 2008. As the current foreign teacher at Dong shan I have my own air-conditioned classroom/office, and the school have also recently installed a whiteboard and the latest Promethean Activboard. I believe that this modern and comfortable learning environment greatly improves the students' progress when participating in my lessons.
